The Chinese locals and tourist usually visit this temple on daily to pray for good things happen on them. They belief the existence of this temple ensure the safe return of fishermen from the sea. In the temple, the huge arapiama fishes are believed to bring fortune to the person who touched it.

A mundane small town in Pantai Minyak Beku. Villages here oftenly catch fishes from the sea to cook as a meal using boats. There is a romantic place beside this village known as the famous best place to watch sunset —Lover Bridge, which is originally a long jetty.

Numerous hawker stalls selling various options of food were running by the locals along the roadside. Some of them were operating ‘illegally’ without the license. However, the crowd is started at the stalls and eventually aggrandised on every afternoon, craving for the local mouth-watering food.

  Beside Dataran Penggaram, there are 30-40 stalls set up along the roadside, which is the night market, operating from 5pm to 12am everyday. They sell all sorts of goods from T-shirts, caps, shoes to souvenirs, and most importantly, FOOD. 

  At this town square, the locals usually stroll at here especially on weekend to relax. There were families taking an evening walk after dinner, some were fluting kites, some even were playing bubbles. During special event such as National Day, Hari Raya and Chinese New Year, celebrations are held at this place too.

One of the common dining habit of the locals habit is that they usually have supper at a mamak stall during midnight. There are various options types of food stalls available which are all halal. People would usually come in groups of friends to have supper here and schmooze for hours at the same time.
